Answering questions from subscribers. “My WiFi is not working. I’m using a MacBook Pro 2013. I’m installing Kali right on the machine. Help!”
NOTE: This is for people running bare metal OS on old computers NOT virtual machines. Also that you can connect via ethernet cable so you can download the Broadcom driver. FYI VMs can connect to the WIFI from host OS via network adapter. Wifi wonβt show on Kali VM. Most likely your wireless adaptor is not working on your Kali Linux. The key here is to install the Broadcom driver. After encountering this problem myself a while ago, I looked for a few solutions online and I did not find anything that would help me fix this problem. Until I ran this nifty Broadcom driver installer.
This solution also works on Ubuntu machines. Usually, when you install a Linux Distro on a laptop or dual-boot with both MacOs and Windows machines, some of them get all of the drivers installed, some are partially installed, or some do not at all!
It could be a disaster, especially when you spent a lot of time installing the Kali Linux system. In this step-by-step tutorial, I show you things you can do to fix your WiFi, including installing the Broadcom driver. Don’t hesitate to ask your questions also!
